BABY GYM, TUMBLE TOTS & KINDER GYM:

GYMNASTICS for 4 months up to 5 year olds


Educational research tells us that children learn best by exploring and discovering their abilities through physical activity and play.

Baby Gym. Tumble Tots and Kindergym sessions are available during school terms only.

Our programs strive to enable all children to experience endless movement opportunities and be encouraged to think, play, create, construct and solve problems with their own bodies and in turn build their coordination and confidence.

Baby Gym, Tumble Tots & Kindergym promotes the active participation of the child's mother, father or carer.                                

    Tumble Tot session cards (10 play sessions) are available to purchase to SAVE you money!

    GYMNASTIC CLASS DEFINITIONS: SCHOOL AGE - COHUNA

           

    Blue SQUAD: Wednesday 4.00pm - 5.00pm

    Little people FUN GYM & FUNDAMENTALS OF GYM SKILLS! 

    Suitable for 5 year olds (MUST be attending school) up to 9 year olds.

    Warm up to music following Katrina.

    Blue Group children then complete a large CIRCUIT utilising all of the gym equipment, guided by the coaches. 

    Dominant Movement Patterns (DMP) included every session - Statics, Spring, Landing, Rotation, Swing & Locomotion.

    Gym skills: Static shapes, shape jumping, safe landings, balancing, egg rolls, sausage rolls, forwards rolls, backwards rolls, bunny hops, donkey handstands, scorpion handstands, handstands PLUS MORE!                   

    Along with teaching Gymnastic skills, we include activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination & fitness, whilst building your child's confidence, ability to take calculated risks, develop life skills such as discipline and resilience.  

    Once your child has mastered the skills required (gym skills, ability to follow instruction, gym awareness. attitude) to complete Blue Group, they will be invited to join Green Group.

    GREEN SQUAD –  Wednesday 5.00pm - 6.00pm

    Suitable for 10 year olds +. (or selected from other groups if appropriate skill level achieved / maturity level demonstrated)

    Warm up to music following Katrina.

    Green Group children then complete a large CIRCUIT utilising all of the gym equipment, guided by the coaches.

    Dominant Movement Patterns (DMP) included every session - Statics, Spring, Landing, Rotation, Swing & Locomotion.

    Gym skills: Static shapes, shape jumping, safe landings, balancing, egg rolls, sausage rolls, forwards rolls, backwards rolls, bunny hops, donkey handstands, scorpion handstands, handstands, handwalking, cartwheels, forward walkovers, backward walkovers, aerials PLUS MORE. 

    Commence working towards developing backflips.     

    Along with teaching Gymnastic skills, we include activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination & fitness, whilst building your child's confidence, ability to take calculated risks, develop life skills such as discipline and resilience.  

    Children in Green Group have the option of participating in Interclub Competitions throughout the year.

    Once your child has mastered the skills required (gym skills, ability to follow instructions, gym awareness and attitude) to complete Green Group, they will be invited to join Gold Group.

    Suitable for 13 year olds +. (or selected from other groups if appropriate skill level achieved / maturity level demonstrated)

    Gold Group children then complete a large CIRCUIT utilising all of the gym equipment, guided by coaches. Individual skills and Tumbling routines are also worked on.

    Dominant Movement Patterns (DMP) included every session - Statics, Spring, Landing, Rotation, Swing & Locomotion.

    Gym skills: Static shapes, shape jumping, safe landings, balancing, egg rolls, sausage rolls, forwards rolls, dive rolls, backwards rolls, bunny hops, donkey handstands, scorpion handstands, handstands, handwalking, cartwheels, forward walkovers, backward walkovers, aerials, backflips, somersaults, Tumbling routines PLUS MUCH MORE! 

    Along with teaching Gymnastic skills, we include activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination & fitness, whilst building your child's confidence, ability to take calculated risks, develop life skills such as discipline and resilience.  

    Athletes in Gold Group have the opportunity to compete in Interclub competitions.
